Preparing for the play was very difficult because of the other characters need to be on the same page, but I believed we did a good job.The days before the play was tough because I was one of the main characters of the play and that means I have multiple lines to memorize. I had to memorize 10 lines and one of the lines was a whole paragraph that was really long. After that some of my classmates brought crafts like a made up bush, tree, and boat and at the same time practicing our lines. After we were done practicing we went through the acting where we have to sound like our characters. Then we acted as if we were on the day of the real play, so we practice how we walk on the stage, how we would face the audience, etc. Then we started sketching our scenes then painting them. Then we have to make sure we look like the character we play fo we bought our costumes. After we finished everything we did a practice play before the real play.

In preparation for the play we had to do a lot of things.

Fist Day-We had to memories our play scripts

Second Day Finish Memorizing

Third Day-Make crafts

Fourth Day-Start making scenes

Fifth Day-finish up crops/scenes

Sixth Day-Find costumes

Seventh Day- Practice play

Eighth Day- Real play

REFLECTION: This is very impotant for all of us because it provide guidance for our daily life, it teach us to be better than we were before. In other words it helps us correct the mistakes we made in the past. Moving forward we need history in order to better our lives and to have an identity. Playing a major role in the play helps me undertand Colonel Ludington and his role in history. I guess you can say it must have been very difficult to be in shoes during those times but I'm glad I was able to be back in time even for a short period of time by playing his role.
